My visit to Hong Kong is nearly over. The city where hip people wear Birkenstock, McDonald’s offers a delivery service and there’s a sign for literally everything. You can walk nearly as much in the air-conditioned underground as on street. It’s an exciting city that you can’t get to know in 3 days at all (but I did not expect that…). I took some walks through Kowloon (esp. around Nathan Road) and the Central District, took the tram to the Peak and a tour of Victoria Harbour. You can see my photos in my Hong Kong Set on Flickr (more photos arriving over the next days).

Just arrived in Hong Kong
Heiko
I just arrived in Hong Kong and wanted to share some quick impressions. I’m excited! At first sight, it seems to be an impressive city. Everyone is kind. Everything seems to grow upwards. There are towers with smaller towers in between. My hotel is great, my room is on the 17th floor – which means, that I can see towers when I look up and towers, when I look down. Some photos are on my Twitter/Twitpic-Timeline. Here are some more impressions (just taken with the iPhone…).
